Suncoast Power LLC. is looking for Journeyman Electricians to join our team. Applicant will be responsible for managing a team of apprentices/helpers to complete tasks designated by the Foreman/Superintendent. The applicant must have 5+ years of electrical experience on new construction commercial/residential job sites. The applicant must have reliable transportation to and from the job site in and around Tampa, FL.
Duties:
- Installing electrical systems and components on new construction projects in accordance with NEC and local code
- Preform tasks designated by the Foreman/Superintendent with the highest quality of craftsmanship that exceeds the customers’ expectations
- Read and understand electrical drawings
- Work with and mentor apprentices/helpers to complete tasks
- Operate machinery/equipment including Mini Excavator, “Ditch Witch”, conduit bender, etc.
Electrical Qualifications:
- Proven 5+ years of electrical experience on new construction projects. Experience on high-rise projects in a similar role is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex problems
Personal Qualifications:
- Must have or obtain OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work outside in the Florida environment
- Ability to push, pull and lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods of time
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation to job site in Valrico Florida.
- Ability to follow all verbal and written instructions in English. Bi-lingual is a plus
- Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language at an 8th-grade level
