JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Engineer 1 is responsible for assisting in the planning, developing, and coordinating of on-site construction activities for large extensive projects.This position is a key technical role on projects and may be involved in multiple projects of varying sizes and complexity.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for the development of coordination and electrical layout drawings.
Responsible for coordinating with the Estimating Department to quote change orders and with accounting to ensure accurate job information is available to management.
Assist in the review of shop drawings to ensure their compliance with contract documents.
Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall schedule.
Provide technical support for construction efforts, including; participating in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, interpretation of technical specifications, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructible reviews, etc.
Develop, implement, and administer standard procedures and other work-controlling documents.
Represent the company, project, and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.
Communicate with all on-site departments to resolve any problems.
Ensure the project stays on schedule while following safety and quality guidelines and TCE policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years experience in electrical system design, engineering, or installation
Technical knowledge of Electrical system design and operation
Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required
Experience with contract documents (contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendum, specifications, and change orders)
Experience reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications and applicable Local and National Electrical Code requirements
Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and calculations (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, order of operations) to calculate labor, materials, and/or cost estimates for projects and work orders, etc.
Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language at a 12th-grade level
Must possess a valid Florida Driver's license in good standing to meet the company's driving requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bilingual
Journeyman or Master Electrician License
Experience in Revit, AccuBid, Bluebeam, Auto CAD

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General Office Environment: This position operates in a professional office environment, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
Environmental Conditions:
The work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled setting with minimal exposure to loud noise, temperature variations, or other environmental factors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

TRAVEL REQUIRED:
Travel is primarily local, although minimal out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
