We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Intern to join our in-house Legal Department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with legal matters related to the construction industry, including contracts, risk management, regulatory compliance, litigation support, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing construction contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, and other legal documents.
Support due diligence efforts and help maintain legal files and databases.
Research laws, regulations, and legal articles related to construction, real estate, labor, and environmental issues.
Aid in the preparation of legal correspondence and memoranda.
Assist in responding to subpoenas, discovery requests, and other litigation matters.
Observe negotiations and meetings with external counsel, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1L or 2L preferred).
Strong academic performance and interest in construction law, contracts, real estate, or corporate law.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
