The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organized individual to join our team.
The Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance on equipment & vehicles as well as overseeing the daily yard operations to ensure a safe, clean and organized facility. This position will also be responsible for keeping track of inventory (liquid and parts) as well as shipping and receiving.

Job Description & Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard.
- Perform preventative maintenance & light service on equipment and vehicles.
- Ensure all equipment returning to the yard is clean, greased, operational, and full of fuel.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Check liquid inventory levels daily.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of liquid coming into and out of the yard.
- Inventory each part at the yard currently and track each part coming in or out of the yard.
- Maintain and ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- Sign out any specialized tools or equipment to field crews.
- Pick, pack and load shipments for customers and technicians.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Coordinate with Accounting, carriers and suppliers to resolve any issues.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of received shipments and shipped orders.
- Track and account for all returns, processing and shipping defectives as needed
- Running parts to the crews in the field as necessary.
- Assisting crews in the field if/when necessary.
- Determine more efficient ways to optimize warehouse/yard operations.
- Work on special projects as assigned by the management team.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records
Requirements and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass the pre-employment process.
- Have a clean driving record.
- Knowledge, ability and experience performing maintenance and repairs to equipment & vehicles.
- Welding experience is a plus but not a requirement.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient on computers and ability to learn new systems.
- Work cooperatively and productively with little supervision.
- Able or willing to learn how to operate fork lifts or heavy equipment
- Capable of lifting and caring equipment weighing up to 80 lbs.
