Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced junior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical estimating and be adept at analyzing project specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
· Receive invitations to bid / requests for pricing
· Assemble takeoff’s & compile material lists
· Request material and subcontractor quotes
· Perform electrical calculations and design projects as needed
· Review supplier B.O.M.’s to ensure accuracy
· Learn and operate company provided estimation software
· Compile and send electrical proposals
· Process change orders as needed
· Coordinate with clients and other trades throughout the preconstruction process
· Prepare and execute project handoff’s upon release
· Attend site walks and preconstruction meetings
· Assist operations with electrical calculations when necessary
· Stay up-to-date with company emails (Check periodically throughout the workday)
· Review Bid Board (Daily)
· Connect to Teams (Daily, connect at startup)
· Attend company meeting (Weekly)
· Process and send proposals / bid breakouts (As scheduled)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of cost control principles.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Conest and Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with excel is a plus but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions based on findings.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly among team members and stakeholders.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
