We currently have openings for Telecom Fiber Splicer. We are looking for individuals who are willing to work in and around the Central and NW Ohio.
Duties will include:
- Operation of line equipment used in construction, maintenance, and removal of overhead and underground fiber optic lines
- Accurately read and depict construction documents
- Frame and install attachment hardware to structure
- Install fiber optic cabling and pathways
- Install construction loops and hardware associated
- Splice fiber in various environments
- Test fiber in various environments and troubleshooting
- Work in a bucket truck at varying heights
- Assists in maintaining a hazard free job site
- Attends all training and meetings as scheduled
- Attend and participate in weekly safety tailgate
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
- Reports all work completed and hours to Foreman and/or Crew Leader accurately as necessary
- Other tasks as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ experience and knowledge splicing fiber optic cabling
- Ability to work in all-weather environments and be willing to travel as needed; both daily travel and overnight travel as required
- Valid driver’s license; class A CDL a plus
