Our organization has tripled its size in the last 5 years and to support our transformation and growth, we are seeking a Pipefitter Journeyman to join our Thilmany Team in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. In this role, you be paid $38.67 per hour. There is a $3.00 per hour shift premium for weekends, if on shift (based on seniority). Additionally, we provide credit for prior work experience for vacation accrual.
The Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities for this role includes:
- Perform preventative maintenance routes, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs to industrial pulp and paper manufacturing equipment
- Assist with installing, fabricating, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting of mechanical piping systems carrying chemicals, water, steam, compressed air, lubricating fluids and various other process piping systems
- Work within a team, including Operations, Engineering, and other trades to effectively troubleshoot and solve equipment issues
- Must follow Ahlstrom’s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position’s areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
Minimum Occupational Requirements:
- Journeyman Pipefitter card, required
- Highly motivated and a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays once required training and certification is complete
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer; must be 18 years of age or older; and have the ability to successfully pass a post-offer background check, drug screen and physical assessment.
Physical Occupational Requirements:
- Perform arduous work, defined as lifting 100 lb. maximum with assistance
- Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Perform work while wearing a supplied air respirator (dependent on department)
- Work at heights and near rapidly moving machinery
- Operate lift-truck and hoists
- Work in a hot and humid environment
