The Engineering Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of concept designs within specified timelines, budget, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to lead a concept design team and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
The Engineering Project Manager will work closely with the customer, design team, and sales representatives to help FTI’s customers define their product requirements through the creation of concept models and drawings. The ideal candidate has a solid engineering background, experience in CAD tools and development, and the ability to shape ideas into manufacturable products.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, Project Management, Analytics, or a related field is required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated lead roles on Engineering projects or scopes of work.
- Recent experience managing or leading engineering projects.
- Proficient in CAD tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Inventor, ACC Cloud.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience interacting with Executive Leadership.
Travel: 10-20%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates working knowledge of project management methodologies (i.e., PMBOK methodology).
- Manages projects comprised of several project team members.
- Implements success in team leadership, stakeholder management, process adherence, project ownership, and risk management capabilities.
- Develops comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Works with Operations and Estimating staff in the development of design/engineering project budgets and proposals.
- Engages team to identify project risks and assumptions, develops mitigation strategies/plans, and works to have strategies in place.
- Maintains regular, transparent communication with all project stakeholders.
- Ensures project is delivered within approved budget, schedule, and meets quality standards.
- Promotes a positive Company Culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
