JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, performs journey level work in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems throughout the City’s structures; performs a wide variety of building and property maintenance related tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED and the equivalent of a four (4) year apprenticeship and four (4) years of electrical maintenance and repair experience. Must possess and maintain a Pinellas County electrician journeyman level Certificate of Competency. Florida Electrical Masters License Certification desired.
- Requires a valid Florida driver license.
- Work involves moderate physical effort with frequent need to get into difficult positions, including small spaces, endure long periods of standing or walking and occasional need to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Requires physical ability to perform all job functions including ability to walk, push, bend, balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, carry, lift, climb, and travel via auto-mobile in and around the City.
