Job Description:
As a Journeyman Electrician at IPS, you’ll work closely with the site foreman to execute top-quality installations that meet current electrical codes. We’re looking for someone who works quickly and efficiently while maintaining safety standards 100% of the time. The ideal candidate is growth-oriented, can read blueprints, and is skilled in terminating service sections, distribution centers, panel boards, transformers, and disconnecting motor controls.
Qualifications & Requirements:
6 to 10 years of experience in the electrical trade
Proficient in installing PVC, RIGID, FLEX, GRC
Capable of making multiple circuits with multiple ground conductors
Skilled in termination
Experience working with a minimum of two apprentices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Proficient with hydraulic benders
Must be able to bend lift twist up to 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
Must be able to work on your feet for 8 to 12 hours a day safely
What You’ll Do: Key responsibilities include
Installing and terminating service sections, distribution centers, panel boards, transformers, and motor controls
Reading and interpreting blueprints for accurate installations
Installing PVC, RIGID, FLEX, and GRC conduits
Performing multiple circuit installations with ground conductors
Supervising and mentoring apprentices
Using hydraulic benders and adhering to safety standards 100% of the time
