Job Title: Human Resources Intern
Job Summary: ECM Holding Company Group, an EMCOR Company has an opportunity for a Human Sumer Resources Intern in Oshkosh, WI. The HR Summer Intern at ECM Holding Group Inc will gain hands-on experience across various human resources functions, compliance, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, and HR administration. This role offers a valuable opportunity for a proactive student to contribute to meaningful projects, develop essential HR skills, and learn about our company culture in a dynamic environment. The schedule is Monday - Thursday in office, 30-32 hours per week. The duration of the internship is Mid June to Mid August.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Onboarding Support:
- Assist with the preparation of offer letters and new hire paperwork.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing materials and assisting with orientation sessions.
- Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives and events.
- Support communication efforts related to company culture and values.
- Gather employee feedback through surveys or other methods.
- Learning & Development:
- Assist with the coordination of training sessions and workshops.
- Help to organize and maintain training materials.
- Research and recommend learning and development resources.
- HR Administration & Operations:
- Assist with maintaining employee records and HR databases.
- Support the preparation of HR reports and presentations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Respond to basic employee inquiries.
- Special Projects:
- Contribute to specific HR projects as assigned, which may include research on HR best practices, policy development, or process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated interest in the field of Human Resources.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
