Austin Industrial, Inc. - We are currently seeking an Instrumentation and Electrician Specialist to work in Pasadena, TX.
This position requires TDLR, NCCER Certification and a Valid Driver’s License.
This is a long-term position working 4x10’s plus -OT.
Payrate: $35.-$40. /hr. DOE. No Per Diem.

Instrumentation and Electrician Specialist
Focus on the oversight, optimization, and strategic management of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical and instrumentation systems, including control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and safety instrumentation.
- Oversee and support the maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance with safety standards.
- Manage capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating resources for the installation and upgrade of I&E systems.
- Develop training materials and standard operating procedures, and provide guidance to technicians and operators on best practices and troubleshooting techniques
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards, conduct risk assessments, and participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for system optimization, cost reduction, and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required for this Position:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering is preferred.
Experience: 8–10 years+ of experience in plant I&E maintenance and electrical distribution, with a strong background in troubleshooting and system optimization

License/Certifications: Electrical Journeyman’s TDLR & NCCER certification and familiarity with industry standards such as NEC, API, ANSI, and OSHA regulations are highly desirable.
