About this Role
At RR Cassidy, our Relay & Substation Division delivers comprehensive electrical infrastructure solutions—from greenfield substation construction to complex brownfield upgrades. We specialize in high-voltage installations, testing, commissioning, and maintenance, including work on breakers, switches, buses, transformers, and advanced Protection & Control (P&C) schemes. Our skilled teams ensure seamless SCADA integration, apparatus testing, and relay diagnostics across diverse energy projects.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee substation projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substation construction, retrofits, or testing and commissioning, and will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project goals are met safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage substation construction, upgrade, or maintenance projects (greenfield and brownfield).
- Coordinate project execution across engineering, field crews, and commissioning teams.
- Oversee testing and commissioning of protection and control schemes, relays, apparatus, and SCADA systems.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors; ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Track project budgets, timelines, and milestones; provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to define requirements and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
- Conduct risk management assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, environmental, and industry standards.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience managing substation or power system projects.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage substation equipment and testing/commissioning practices.
- Familiarity with P&C schemes, SCADA systems, relay testing, and NETA/NERC standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- PMP certification (preferred).
