Job Description Summary: Research, design, develop, specify, procure, and document tools, engines, machines, controls, equipment, and mechanical processes, with the overall intention to automate processes and reduce labor.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Authorities:
- Oversee production, procurement, installation, operation, maintenance, repair, and development of new, modified, and/or existing systems
- Work closely with other engineering areas and production to obtain optimum utilization of equipment
- Analyze problems to see how mechanical and electronic devices might solve problems
- Design or re-design mechanical and electronic devices, using analysis and CAD
- Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, recommend remedies
- Develop and test prototypes of designed devices
- Analyze the test results and change the design or system as needed
Knowledge, skills, abilities, other:
- 15 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent in experience
- Computer programming and software development background
- PLC and motion control experience
- Machine shop experience
- Creative

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
