Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate needs to be proficient with Siemens S7, TIA Portal plc systems and Kuka robot programming. The Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a resource for the controls team, providing technical support, direction and in depth troubleshooting for the implementation of the project.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated systems using Siemens plc programming and Kuka robots.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in automated processes and implement effective solutions.
- Program and maintain Kuka robotic systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Fabricate components as needed for automation systems, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Improve OEE of automated systems to achieve customer production and quality goals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop tooling solutions that support automation initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing automated processes for efficiency gains.
Experience
- Proven experience in automation engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Siemens programming logic controllers and Kuka robot programming.
- Experience with distributed control systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
