Electrical Pre-Construction Manager
Cummings Electrical, a leading provider of electrical contracting services in DFW, is growing! We are currently looking for an ELECTRICAL PRE-CONSTRUCTION MANAGER to join our Estimating and Business Development team. Come see why people are choosing Cummings over other companies!
Responsibilities
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent industry experience (preferred) • 6 years estimating experience with an electrical contractor • Must have experience with large commercial and industrial projects (concept to close-out) • Knowledge of all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.• Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Particularly Excel)• Strong oral and written communication skills• Strong employment stability• Experience with Accubid and/or Conest • Knowledge of and/or experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
Qualifications: • Support Business Development in proposal presentations, interviews etc, and support Sales/Marketing in building General Contractor and Architect/Engineer relationships • Responsible for the preparation of preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction document estimates and studies during preconstruction • Initiate and maintain contact with General Contractors and Architect and Engineering firms• Participates in design decisions, evaluations, studies, value engineering, value analysis, scheduling, and constructability reviews • Identify new work opportunities • Monitor cost trends • Evaluate and analyzing subcontractor proposals • Participation in the preparation of construction schedule for estimating purposes • Responsible for discussing staffing requirements with operations in preparation of building a project team
