Cabling Technician
Our Employee-Owned,
Georgia based Low Voltage Systems Division is seeking Structured Cabling
technicians in the Southwest GA area. We are seeking technicians who excel at
using communication, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to deliver
the highest level of customer service. Positions are
regular, full-time and benefits eligible. Pay range depending on
experience, skills, and knowledge.
What you will do:
Inspect work
areas and complete Job Hazard Analysis prior to starting any work.
Review and
process work and plan ahead, coordinate equipment, supplies, tools, manage
schedule/scheduling impacts.
Install equipment,
install cable while adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
Troubleshoot
technical issues to quick resolutions.
Complete post
installation paperwork and coordinate with supervisor for inspections.
Ensure First
Class customer service is provided for superior customer
satisfaction.
Know industry
standards/color codes/cable & testing.
Candidate is required to be able to perform, but not limited to the
following duties:
Work is
performed while standing, sitting and /or walking, & climbing up &
down ladders.
Requires
bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling, balancing.
Climbing
ladders of various heights and working in cramped corridors.
Requires the
ability to lift, carry, push, pull minimum of 50 lbs. with no assistance.
Standing for
over 95% of workday and / or sitting for 2 hours at a time.
Working in
indoor & outdoor conditions.
Requires
activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to changes in
temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
Specific vision
abilities required for this job may include close vision, distance vision,
color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and
focus.
Operate motor
vehicles independently.
Operate
technologies and equipment as required by the installation plan.

Minimum experience:
Possesses a positive safety attitude and high level of personal integrity.
Places a high value on workmanship, customer service and satisfaction.
Valid driver's license and can pass pre-employment screening requirements.
5 years’experience in structured cabling is strongly desired.
Has the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with low voltage systems.
BICSI Certification (Preferred)
