Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in construction environments.
Duties
- Install fire sprinkler systems according to local codes and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and testing of existing systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine system layout and installation requirements.
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment for pipe threading, cutting, and fitting.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while on the job site.
Qualifications
- NICET certification in Water Based Systems preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical equipment related to fire sprinkler installation.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Experience with pipe threading and plumbing techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience working in construction sites with an understanding of site safety practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
