Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations during all installations and repairs.
- Work with logic controllers to ensure proper functionality of automated systems.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics related to electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of NEC standards and regulations.
- Experience as a commercial electrician with a focus on safety protocols.
- Ability to operate various hand tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with logic controllers for automated electrical systems.
- Competent in using testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
